We are currently looking for new forum members to help improve services for customers and come up with ideas to make us more effective.
The forum plays a vital role in helping shape the high quality adult social care services Persona provides for older people, and people with physical and learning disabilities and dementia. It also provides feedback on how our day care centres are performing, and the support services we provide in people’s homes.
Members are asked to provide information and comment on services, including any personal experience of social care.
Since it was set up, the forum has helped deliver ‘mystery shopper exercises’ and reviews of social care provision.
The role is unpaid and members are asked to attend meetings which take place every two months.
Members could include Persona customers, carers or relatives, health or social care professionals, or volunteers. To be eligible members must either live, work or be undertaking training in Bury, or represent a community group or organisation in the area.
Persona stakeholder forum chair Susan Ruddock said: “The stakeholder forum plays an important role in shaping and improving the services which Persona provides to customers. Members provide crucial insights into what’s working well and what could be improved.
“The forum helps Persona to solve operational issues, set priorities and develop better services for customers. Becoming a forum member is an opportunity to make a real difference and have your say on improving social care in Bury.”
