£11,398 per annum rising to £11,626 per annum on successful completion of training and probation period

We are currently recruiting two Driver / Support Workers who will be flexible with a ‘can-do’ attitude and share our values.  You will have an ability to develop appropriate relationships with people and be able to support people to meet their potential. You’ll want to make a positive difference in someone’s life and take pride in delivering a quality service. You’ll have a belief that people have a right to control and define their own lives and see your role as enabling this.

As a Driver / Support Worker you will be responsible for supporting learning disabled adults either 1:1 or in groups.  This post is a physical job where there is a requirement to move and handle people, support individuals with personal care, manoeuvre adults who use wheelchairs both indoors and out in the community, support people to use public transport and support with activities such as swimming, voluntary work, dance or sports. Consequently, staff will need to have good health and the physical capacity to carry out these duties.
