Manager – Learning Disability Day Service

37 hours per week

£36,298 rising to £37,261 per annum on successful completion of training and probation

We are seeking to appoint a manager to our Learning Disability Day Service.

The day service provides support to a number of people across Bury with varying needs. Its purpose is to provide high quality care and support to people to enable them to fulfil their potential and live their best lives. It often plays a dual role in providing valuable carer respite to the families of those people we support too.

The service operates out of several locations across Bury and supports people to get out and about and access the community as much as possible. There’s a dedicated management and staff team who are passionate about the support they provide and we are looking for someone to further enhance the skills and experience of the team to take us forward in our next chapter.

About you

We’re looking for a creative thinker with a can-do attitude who has experience working with individuals who have a learning disability. You’ll have a natural way with people and be able to understand the perspectives of those around you. You’ll have bags of get-up-and-go and be able to build the confidence and enthusiasm of your staff team to build a culture of enablement. You’ll be a first-class communicator who is credible and able to manage a variety of relationships with partners, managers, the staff team, people we support and their carers. Your enthusiasm will be infectious and your passion to create opportunities for people, play to their strengths and make a positive difference in people’s lives is what gets you out of bed every day.

About the role

You’ll work alongside our other manager of the day service and will take the lead on its operational development. The aim of this role will be to enhance an already good quality service, by working with people we support and their families to develop it, ensure it has wide reach and is attractive to a wider audience.

Further information about the role can be found in the job description.

In return for your contribution we will support you throughout your career -

We provide a wide range of employee benefits, career development and lifestyle support services to ensure that you too feel supported, fulfilled and valued from day one of your employment with us.
