Hidden Talents Emerge

From the confines of Covid-19 comes creativity.

We have been delighted with the displays of creative talent across Persona from staff and customers.

Scarecrows

Take a look at the results of our service-wide Scarecrow Competition here:

Music

Inspired by the current situation Natalie not only wrote, but also sung and played the guitar for 'We got you'.

Lee from Supported Living delighted everyone on the Persona Friendship Group Facebook page with his rendition of Mark Harding's Three Legged Pig Song.

Poetry

We have been sent in these two lovely poems from Carole Martin who is a Shared Lives carer.

Jo Holland has written this poem to help our customers understand how things are different during lockdown. As she says:

‘I don’t claim to be a poet by any means, but thought this may help our customers.

I am more than aware that many of the people we support are finding things difficult because of the restrictions the Corona Virus is putting on us.

Sometimes I guess if you have communication difficulties or limited understanding watching the News on TV may not always help everyone to understand what's expected of them and why.’

We hope you love it as much as we do, and that it is helpful.

Art

Here is Natasha MacIver's (from LD Day Service) 7 month old Boston Terrier 'Ernie'!

And Jenny's (Communication Officer) attempt at a Peregrine Falcon

We have had some entries to Creative Competition, as advertised in April's NewsletterPlease keep sending them in!

Even through the deadline has now passed, please email in your creations. It's always great to see how creative our customers and staff are.
