Share your musical talents with the people we support and volunteer to play the piano

Do you like to have a tickle on the ivories?

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of others?

Do you have some spare time?

We all know how much joy people can get from music, whether playing, dancing or listening to music – it can often bring so much joy to others and this is where we need your help!

We are looking for volunteers who want to play our piano and share their talents with the people we support at Elmhurst Short Stay Service, who have been lucky enough to have a piano donated to them through fundraising by Key’s Piano School.

So, whether you:

  • used to play the piano in your childhood and want to get back into it
  • are learning to play the piano but don’t have access to one regularly
  • just want to come and share your skills with others

Then we would love to hear from you!

How to become a volunteer pianist

To become a volunteer pianist, complete the attached form and a member of the team will be in contact with you.  The only requirement is that you know how to play the piano!

As you may be regularly attending the service, you may need a DBS check and we would arrange this for you. Do you have a criminal conviction? It doesn't necessarily mean you can't volunteer with us - click here to read more.

We're happy to answer any questions you may have - either mention them in your application or contact us here.
