If you're at school or college and want to find about more about what it's like working in social care, to help you decide whether it's the career for you, then look no further.

 

We can offer you the opportunity to experience work in social care, in roles like care assistant and support worker, supporting older people, people living with dementia and people with a learning disability with everyday tasks and enabling them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

 

Work experience can last from 1 day up to a week depending on what you need and it will give you the opportunity to:

  • be in a work environment
  • meet new people
  • gain new skills
  • understand the type of career you would like as you get older

 

During your work experience you will be buddied up with a member of our team and you'll shadow them in their role. You will also get involved in some group and individual activities in the service, whilst getting to know the people we support.
