Persona were delighted to win the Most Improved Large Employer Award.

We have supported the Greater Manchester Good Employment Charter for the past two years and have been working towards achieving full member status.

The Charter is the standard which has been defined in Manchester for good employment practice. It exists to drive up standards to help make workplaces great places to be so that people can thrive.

As part of the Persona journey, we have made a number of changes and improvements to our employment practices, including becoming real living wage accredited and implementing an innovative new approach to recruitment to become more inclusive.

We are due to be assessed for full member status and in the run up to that had been invited along to the annual Good Employment Charter Awards to observe and see how those who are already full members were excelling in their field.

Managing director Kat Sowden said: "It was a fabulous evening and some amazing employers were there who we can learn from as we continue to improve and further develop."

"At Persona we passionately believe that our people are our business and that by being the best employer we can, we will support our amazing workforce to thrive and provide the highest quality of support to those we serve."

Kat particularly thanked Laura Wolstenholme, Head of People & Communications, for leading on the action plan towards full member status and all the managers and people who have been part of designing and implementing their new inclusive recruitment approach.
