We care about you and we arrange regular opportunities for get togethers with other carers, to share information and experience and to get mutual support and understanding.

Our quarterly carers meetings include updates on the Shared Lives scheme and other Persona services and we invite guest speakers to talk on relevant topics such as insurance and autism. We've enjoyed afternoon teas, picnics and we love to celebrate Shared Lives Week - take a look at what we got up to in 2020

We pay for your membership of Shared Lives Plus, so that you have access to even more support, information and discounts - you can read about the benefits of membership here.

Because we are managed by Persona, we are lucky to be a part of a bigger organisation with some exciting extra benefits.

Each year you will have the chance to attend the PersonAwards ceremony which has its own Shared Lives Carer of the Year category. Nominees for the category are invited to a celebratory cake and coffee event where the shortlist is announced, and the awards ceremony itself is a fabulous evening event with entertainment and a three course meal where you can meet other carers and Persona staff.

Carers can also access part of our employee wellbeing offer, including access to our Mental Health First Aiders should you need a friendly, non-judgmental ear. You're also invited to our weekly online wellbeing session, which focusses on breathing and relaxation.
