Case Study: Persona Activity Hub

As a society we are moving more and more into a digital age and while we were adapting to it where possible, it was compounded by Covid-19. People who relied on day services were no longer able to get their daily dose of ‘living their best life’ with our friendly staff and services were pared back to the bare essential, minimum. But what about the people left at home?

This is where our new activity hub came into being and its goal was to collect information, activities and invitations for people to join in at home. It was a way people could get their dose of the friendly interaction they get while in service, whilst staying safe at home. It was a collective effort across many teams within Persona and we started bringing this all together in July ready for a launch in August. We were able to do this with financial support from the Council’s Innovation fund which we used to purchase equipment (including tablets) so that customers were able to access the content.

The content on our Activity Hub was broken down into three sections:

  • Interactive Activities: interactive, live meet ups and events.
  • Activities & Resources We Like: a catalogue of sites that we trust which have lots of different activities for you to enjoy.
  • On Demand Activities: video content created by Persona, with some help from external partners whom you may recognise from day services. These activities are on demand, available via the hub or our YouTube channel.
