Join our Bury Shared Lives team as a day support carer for 2 hours per week or more on the Live More dementia project.

Support people living with dementia in Bury to stay independent and do what they love and give their carers valuable time to themselves.

You will:

• get training and support from our friendly team 
• be carefully matched with someone who shares your interests
• have the final say in who you support and be able to withdraw if it isn't working for you
• get all the other benefits our Shared Lives carers get 

You don't need:

• any caring experience
• previous knowledge of dementia

you just need to share our values!

For 2 hours or more a week (whatever suits your commitment and the needs of the people we support) you will share your interests and time, supporting people to 

• stay independent
• make new connections 
• keep active and do what they love

while their families and carers get

• time out for their own wellbeing and interests
• peace of mind that:
  • their loved one is safe and enjoying their time, supported by someone who gets them
  • our carers are part of a 'Good' rated CQC service with up to date training and good support
