Are you creative, digitally savvy, and passionate about making a difference in your community? Bury Care Academy is looking for a dynamic marketing and communications officer to help us amplify our message, engage our audiences and showcase the incredible work happening across our academy.
We are a newly developing team, with a remit to support the adult social providers in Bury with their workforce development needs, including managing a centralised recruitment service, raising awareness of social care as a career amongst the wider Bury community, working with schools and colleges, facilitating and attending jobs fairs, careers fairs and other events and much more….
You’ll play a key role in shaping how we communicate with the public, partners, and internal teams. You’ll lead on campaigns, manage our website and social media, create engaging content, and support events that raise awareness and encourage people to work in adult social care.

About you
- Experience in a marketing or communications role
- Strong ICT skills, including MS Office and social media platforms
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- A creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and engagement

About the role
- Website & Social Media: design and manage campaigns, maintain website content, and grow our social media presence
- Marketing Materials: create and edit content for a variety of platforms including video, images, and written communications
- Events & Engagement: coordinate and attend events, gather feedback, and develop case studies to showcase impact
- Photography & Videography: produce promotional films and visual content to support our communications
- Stakeholder Relationships: build strong connections with internal teams, care providers, and community partners
