Want to support people living with dementia in Bury? Click here.

Bury Shared Lives are part of a new Greater Manchester dementia project, Live More, to support more people in Bury who are living with dementia and their families and carers.

Live More will run until May 2026. It aims to keep people connected to the things they love while also giving their families and carers a break. The project will help us to develop and evaluate day support and shape the future of flexible, person-centred dementia care in Bury.

How can you help?

Please share this page with friends, family and colleagues you think would be perfect or apply to join us yourself!

We're looking for carers in Bury to provide day support for 2 hours or more a week.

Our carers will

  • get training and support from our friendly team
  • be carefully matched with someone who shares your interests
  • have the final say in who you support and be able to withdraw if it isn't working for you
  • get all the other benefits our Shared Lives carers get

Our carers don't need

  • any caring experience
  • previous knowledge of dementia

they just need to share our values!

We are working with Shared Lives Plus and ARF (Accelerating Reform Fund) on this project.
