Shared Lives Committee Newsletter

The Shared Lives Committee wanted to create a newsletter for carers and people we support, so people can find out what's going on in the service.

Our first edition launches this week - #SharedLivesWeek - which makes it extra special! The team can't wait to hear what everyone thinks of the newsletter.

It's taken the team a few months to put together and they hope to publish twice a year.

The first issue includes an introduction to the newsletter team, a carer and a staff member in the spotlight sharing their interests plus wedding and hen do tips and upcoming events.

There are six people involved in the newsletter:

Ellen is the photographer and an editor

Sarisa and Macc are interviewers and editors

Joey is the graphic designer and an editor

We asked a couple of team members what they get out of doing the newsletter and they said:

"My favourite part is meeting new people who are part of Shared Lives. Talking to new people is helping to build my confidence too."

The newsletter will be sent directly to Shared Lives carers and people supported by the scheme.
