Isaac is doing a skill placement where he is learning workplace routines, customer service and building on his confidence.
What challenges did Isaac face when he first started?
At the beginning, Isaac found loud noises and late public transport hard to deal with.
How is Isaac learning to manage these challenges?
He is learning to adapt to noisy environments and to handle the stress of late transport by managing his emotions better.
How is Isaac doing in his role now?
He's growing more confident all the time and delivering great customer service!
What new responsibilities has Isaac taken on?
He now hosts the café's Wednesday bingo sessions. This has helped him to build on his confidence and leadership skills.
Has Isaac received any recognition for her progress?
Yes! Isaac has been awarded Star of the Month (which we used to call Volunteer of the Month). This award recognises his hard work and the progress he's made so far.
