This World Autism Acceptance Week our learning disability day services raised a total of £706 for the National Autistic Society through bake sales and walks.

Bake Sales

The Elms and Elton Community Centre both held bake sales and together they raised an amazing £135! Staff and people we support came together to bake and sell a variety of delicious treats and the amount raised showcases the generosity and enthusiasm of everyone involved.

Walking 5k in April

Bolton Road organised to meet at The Green Community Café every Wednesday in April with the goal of walking 5k. They were joined by Escape and Victoria and the weekly walks proved to be a fantastic way to stay active while raising money for a good cause! With each step raising us money, the walks became a great opportunity to connect, enjoy the outdoors and make a difference. Through paper donations and our JustGiving page, the teams raised an incredible £571!

World Autism Acceptance Day

Staff and people we support raised awareness by wearing bright colours for the day. The Bury Shared Lives team matched their outfits to our REACH colours and even painted their nails, while everyone at Ramsbottom posed in their colourful clothes!
