Recently, Ralph has been feeling a little isolated so he and his support team began to explore ideas for activities he could start doing. Ralph decided he wanted to place his focus on becoming more active and has shown great interest and commitment in achieving this goal - he even bought a smart watch to track the amount of steps he takes each day!
After looking through , Ralph and the team found information for the Greater Manchester Walking Toolkit, including daily mile walks, which they agreed would be a perfect starting point for Ralph to become active again. To aid this, they downloaded some of the resources from the Greater Manchester website such as:
This was a massive help for Ralph as it meant he had visual trackers so he could not only feel his progress, but see it too!
These have been great motivational tools for Ralph as he can record how walking makes him feel and understand the impact this can have to both his mental and physical health. He sets himself mini distance goals and has said he feels happy when these have been achieved.
